Las Vegas Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Car

In Las Vegas, a pedestrian struck by a car on Wednesday, March 11th has died. Joan Freeman, 81, was crossing Rainbow Boulevard early in the morning when she was hit by a 2003 Mercedes-Benz. She was allegedly outside the crosswalk. She was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, and passed away last Friday afternoon.  The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was not injured. FDA to improve drug warning labels for pregnant women

The Food and Drug Administration is revamping  labels on prescription drugs to make it easier to understand which are safe to use. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding often agonize over whether a drug needed for their own health might hurt their baby, or whether the woman’s changing body requires a higher or lower dose.
