Emergency Beach Landing Kills Father, Injures Daughter

Tragic news from Florida today. The emergency landing of a small, single-engine Piper Cherokee plane killed one beach pedestrian, and injured his daughter. Ommy Irizarry, 36, of Georgia, was killed and his 9-year-old daughter, Oceana, was critically injured after being hit by the plane, Sarasota County Sheriff”s office said.  The pilot of the plane Karl Kokomoor, 57, of Englewood, Florida and his passenger were not injured. Kokomoor had placed a distressed call to the Venice airport before crash landing on the beach. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the case.   All information shared from Huffington Post.
